I'll Give You The Key

It was not uncommon for me to be woken up by the beeping of a reversing lorry when we used to live near London. This morning however was rather different as our local farmers were harvesting the wheat and the beeping, rather than coming from a lorry, was coming from a massive combine harvester parked in the field right next to Oakfield. We all hung on the hedge and watched the mechanical behemoth trundle up and down - converting wheat into grain and straw. A fantastic, unhurried and magical few hours in the soothing Somerset sunshine. We’ve still got some availability in September and October this year and next year when you too could catch the maize and winter wheat harvest and enjoy Oakfield at its best.
